Windsor's ACM Team Takes Unprecedented 25th Place in Regionals
Please join Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Interim Director and The School of Computer Science in congratulating our Windsor teams who proudly represented us at the East Central Regional Programming Contest last Friday/Saturday at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor site.

The Gold Team had an impressive performance, unprecedented for Windsor – placing 25th place overall (of 140 teams over 4 sites) – and in the 3rd place at the Michigan site (we are waiting for official word on the final scores, possibly we made it to the top 5 locally).

For the first time a Windsor team defeated a team from University of Toronto (34th), U of Notre Dame (23), York (30), Carleton (42), and both Western teams to name a few.

Our Impressive Teams

Gold Team

Zak Blacher, Franco Iacobacci, Thomas McDonald – 25th place (two problems solved)

Black Team

Daniel Dahl, Eugene Greene, Jordan Iversen – 81st place

Special thanks to Dr. Ziad Kobti for his dedication to computer science students, the CSS and the School of Computer Science for financially sponsoring the teams.
