Bachelor of Computer Science (General) for University Graduates

The School of Computer Science is now offering an accelerated Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) General Degree program for those already holding a degree in another discipline. The program will be offered in two formats: a 12-month, full-time program beginning in May of each year; or a 32-month part-time evening option starting each September.

The twelve month program aims to provide you with valuable computer skills which will make your primary degree more marketable. The 32-month program enables you to upgrade your education while still working and to expand your employment opportunities.

Student wishing to enter the B.C.S. degree for University Graduates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in an area other than Computer Science; and must have completed  Ontario Grade 12 "U" Advanced Functions and Relations, Introductory Calculus, and Geometry and Discrete Mathematics, or equivalent courses. If you are a student of the University of Windsor, you can apply through the SIS system, otherwise apply through the Ontario University Application Centre.

Advanced standing may be granted for Computer Science and Mathematics and Statistics courses provided they (or their equivalents) were passed at an accredited University with a minimum grade of C-. Senate regulations stipulate that at least 10 additional courses at the 200-400 level must be completed at the University of Windsor to obtain the B.C.S. degree for University Graduates.

Students in the 32-month part-time degree program must successfully complete 62-120, 62-130 (or 62-140) and 65-205 before entering the program.
